  • Pictures are tomorrow!
  • The fifth-grade fundraiser is currently taking place and will be open for 2 weeks. The order form (white and yellow copies) along with the money envelope is due on Monday, September 18th.  Please be sure to fill out the money envelope with your child's name, amount enclosed and prize selection.  This fundraiser is so important because the money earned purchases prizes and treats for Thursday Thrills, funds classroom supplies and assists with funding portions of our field trips.

Social Studies (Guernsey)
  • We worked on: Scholastic News for the week of September 11.  Students have a paper copy of the magazine Paw Prints and can access a digital version through Schoology. Through Schoology students are able to listen to the articles, watch short videos and interact with maps.  You can also access the magazine by using this link Scholastic News: Paw Prints .  
  • Please finish: Scholastic News: Paw Prints worksheet packet by Friday, September 15th.

Reading (Wilson)
  • We worked on:  Read aloud - Saved by the Boats by Julie Gassman.  Our writing prompt is:  How did both boats and crew members help the people of New York City on 9/11.  Students may use the notes they took while listening to both stories to help them write their stories.
  • Please finish the sloppy copy and have it ready to turn in on Wednesday.
Science (Guernsey)
  • We worked on:  A volume experiment in class where students worked in groups to predict, test and record their findings.
